We discuss the perturbative expansion of several one-loop improved renormalisation group equations. It is shown that in general the integrated renormalisation group flows fail to reproduce perturbation theory beyond one loop.

  1. Fermions and the Renormalisation Group at Large N

    hep-th 2025-02 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

At large N, fermionic quantum field theories have exact effective actions depending only on flavour-singlet fermion bilinears, making the local potential approximation exact and yielding new conformal fixed points.

  2. Towards gauge independence in asymptotically safe quantum gravity

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In an essential proper-time scheme, gauge dependence of the flow for Newton's constant cancels order-by-order once redundant off-shell terms are absorbed by field redefinitions, leaving a gauge-independent non-Gaussia...

  3. Physics-informed operator flows and observables

    hep-th 2025-07 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Operator PIRGs complete the prior PIRG method by enabling computation of all correlation functions, demonstrated analytically in zero-dimensional phi^4 theory via vertex expansion to ten-point functions.

  4. Phase structure of quark matter and in-medium properties of mesons from Callan-Symanzik flows

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A symmetry-restored Callan-Symanzik functional RG produces a physical phase diagram and meson spectral functions for the quark-meson model, where the unconstrained scheme fails.
