  1. Strongly Coupled Soft Functions

    hep-ph 2026-08 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The cusp anomalous dimension at strong coupling is obtained for all rapidity separations from two competing string saddles, and the transversely-separated two-cusp Wilson loop scales as (b_perp^2 Lambda^2)^{-Re Gamma_cusp}.

  2. Exact Schwarzian Metric Factor and Holographic Wilson-Loop Screening

    hep-th 2026-07 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

Exact Schwarzian averaging yields a completely monotone metric factor with no confining minimum, so the Wilson-loop potential screens as E(L) ~ -κ_IR/L² rather than confining.

  3. A Lindbladian for holographic Brownian motion

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Derives and analyzes a Lindbladian for holographic Brownian motion in BTZ and AdS5 black brane backgrounds from the influence functional.

  4. Bound states and deconfinement from Romans supergravity with magnetic flux

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Holographic duals from Romans supergravity with Abelian magnetic flux yield confining 4D theories with a flux-driven zero-temperature deconfinement transition and a spectrum dominated by two nearly degenerate light sc...

  5. Confinement and chiral symmetry breaking in holography: a smooth switch-off

    hep-th 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

A continuous one-parameter family of holographic geometries interpolates between confining and deconfined phases, with string tension and chiral condensate vanishing smoothly at the black hole endpoint.

  6. Light dilaton from top-down holographic confinement with magnetic fluxes

    hep-th 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In a two-flux family of top-down holographic confining theories, the lightest scalar is an approximate dilaton with mass about one tenth of the lightest spin-2 confinement scale, over a wide, untuned region of paramet...

  7. Holographic explorations of regular black holes in pure gravity

    hep-th 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Regular, asymptotically AdS black holes are shown to exist in pure quasi-topological gravity, and their thermodynamics, quasinormal modes, Wilson loops, and a Type IIB field redefinition map are worked out.

  8. Quark-Antiquark Potential as a Probe for Holographic Phase Transitions

    hep-th 2025-01 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A holographic Wilson loop calculation shows the quark-antiquark potential has a crossing at the phase transition point ψ=1 for two AdS5 black hole phases.

  9. Quantum-Corrected Holographic Wilson Loop Expectation Values and Super-Yang-Mills Confinement

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Near-horizon quantum gravity fluctuations in an extremal AdS5-Reissner-Nordström black brane make the holographic Wilson loop obey an area law, producing a linear quark-antiquark potential at zero temperature.

  10. On the stability of holographic confinement with magnetic fluxes

    hep-th 2024-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A bottom-up holographic model with magnetic flux on a circle shows a confining-to-conformal phase transition that occurs before a tachyonic instability, with the lightest scalar near the transition resembling a dilaton.

  11. Dilatonic states, phase transitions, and criticality in holography

    hep-th 2026-07 accept novelty 3.0 of 10

A review of holographic examples indicating that a light dilaton appears near critical endpoints of first-order zero-temperature phase transitions, with explicit but lower-dimensional demonstrations.
