A complex-quaternionic formulation of Dirac, electromagnetic, and electroweak fields is constructed that reproduces the correct magnetic moment and yields an alternative weak isospin representation disagreeing with the standard model on neutral current signs.
As shown below, after symmetry breaking this difference leads to a disagreement with the standard model on the signs of the currents coupled to the Z boson
