abstract

The QCD description of exclusive decays of the $\Lambda_b$ baryon involves hadronic matrix elements of non-local light ray operators, the light-cone distribution amplitudes. We introduce the complete set of three--quark distribution amplitudes and calculate the renormalization scale dependence for the leading twist. At leading order in the strong coupling the evolution is driven by pairwise two--quark interactions: heavy--light involving Sudakov logarithms as in the B-meson case, and light--light as in light mesons. We solve the evolution equation and show that its main effect is to generate a radiative tail extending to high energies. Finally, we present simple models for the distribution amplitudes based on QCD sum rules, and study the effect of the evolution on these models.

  1. Light-cone sum rules with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes for the $B\to p$ form factors in $B$-mesogenesis models

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

New light-cone sum-rule form factors predict B+→p + dark-antiproton rates and lower limits showing that Belle II/BaBar bounds must reach 10⁻⁸–10⁻⁷ for a decisive test of B-mesogenesis.

  2. Revisiting $\bar B^0 \rightarrow \Lambda_c^+ \bar p$ decay with higher twist corrections

    hep-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

Higher-twist LCDAs plus W-exchange produce destructive interference that lowers the PQCD branching fraction of B-bar0 to Lambda_c+ p-bar to ~1.6e-5, matching experiment, while predicting the suppressed mode at order 10^{-8}.

  3. Are Subleading Effects Really Subleading? $B$-Meson Decays in Mesogenesis

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In B-Mesogenesis, formally subleading heavy-quark-expansion corrections to inclusive B decays exceed the leading free-quark decay for dark-fermion masses above about 2–3 GeV, limiting the reliable range of HQE-based c...

  4. Investigation of $\Lambda_{b}\to \Lambda_{c} \ell^-\overline\nu_\ell$ Decays in Perturbative QCD Approach

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A leading-order pQCD calculation of all six Lambda_b to Lambda_c form factors, z-expanded and anchored to a lattice QCD point, predicts R_Lambda_c = 0.29+0.12-0.11, slightly above LHCb.

  5. SCET sum rules for $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda \ell^+\ell^-$, $\Lambda \gamma$ decays

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

SCET light-cone sum rules give NLO soft form factors and small non-factorizable corrections for Λ_b → Λ decays, with a Λ_b → Λ γ branching fraction consistent with data.

  6. Constraining $B$-Mesogenesis models with inclusive and exclusive decays

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Combining inclusive and exclusive B-meson decay rates, the authors rule out B-Mesogenesis dark matter masses above 3 GeV and find lifetime ratios do not further constrain the model.

  7. Transition form factors of the $\Lambda_b \rightarrow \Lambda(1520)$ in QCD light-cone sum rules

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

First light-cone sum rule calculation of the Lambda_b to Lambda(1520) transition form factors, with rare decay predictions consistent with LHCb within large uncertainties.

  8. Heavy quark mass dependence of the $\Lambda_Q$ light-cone distribution amplitude in QCD

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

The Lambda_Q baryon LCDA at mass m_Q equals (m_Q/m_Q^0)^2 times the LCDA at m_Q^0 evaluated at rescaled fractions x_i*m_Q/m_Q^0, times an exponentiated anomalous dimension, plus renormalon-model power corrections.

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Perturbative QCD calculations find that branching fractions for Ξ_b to Ξ lepton-pair decays lie within LHCb reach and that angular observables plus a specific ratio can constrain Wilson coefficients and extract |V_td/...
