abstract

Motivated by the recent discovery of hidden zeros in particle and string amplitudes, we characterize zeros of individual graph contributions to the cosmological wavefunction of a scalar field theory. We demonstrate that these contributions factorize near these zeros for all tree graphs and provide evidence that this extends to loop graphs as well. We explicitly construct polytopal realizations of the relevant graph associahedra and show that the cosmological zeros have natural geometric and physical interpretations. As a byproduct, we establish an equivalence between the wavefunction coefficients of chain graphs and flat-space Tr$(\phi^3)$ amplitudes, enabling us to leverage the cosmological zeros to uncover the recently discovered hidden zeros of colored amplitudes.

  1. Higher-Spin Correlators in dS

    hep-th 2026-08 accept novelty 8.0 of 10

The five-point de Sitter higher-spin correlator is shown to be a spurious-singularity-free rational function organized by graph-theoretic orbits of the complete graph K5.

  2. Analytic Boundaries of Infinite-Spin-Tower Amplitudes from Hidden Zero

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The exact analytic boundary of unitary infinite-spin-tower amplitudes is derived and shown to be maximal unless energy poles accumulate.

  3. All Tree-Level Massive Cosmological Correlators via Spectral Gluing

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Tree-level massive de Sitter correlators are constructed by gluing Lauricella-type vertex functions according to graph combinatorics, and the hypergeometric content collapses to rational functions once the dynamical p...

  4. Correlators are simpler than wavefunctions

    hep-th 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Equal-time correlators are simpler than wavefunctions because they come from full-spacetime integrals; this implies fewer poles, cleaner factorization, and a systematic pole expansion whose first subleading term vanishes.

  5. On differential operators for scalar-scaffolded gluons

    hep-th 2025-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Differential operators on scalar-scaffolded variables extract individual phi^3 diagrams from gluon amplitudes, and the independent mixed amplitudes are counted by Catalan numbers.
