We construct an equivariant map Aut^G(A) → KK^G(A,A) (more precisely, to the appropriate spectrum of equivariant KK-theory) whose homotopy groups recover the desired groups; the isometrically shift-absorbing hypothesis is used to guarantee that this map is a weak equivalence after applying the equivariant homotopy functor. The argument proceeds via an equivariant version of the Dadarlat spectral sequence together with explicit lemmas on the homotopy groups of the unitary group in the multiplier algebra.
