The Bardeen black hole holds historical significance as the first model of a regular black hole. Recently, there have been proposed interpretations of the Bardeen spacetime as quantum corrections to the Schwarzschild solution. Our study focuses on investigating the quasinormal modes and Hawking radiation of the Bardeen black hole. We have observed that previous studies on the quasinormal modes for the Bardeen black hole suffer from inaccuracies that cannot be neglected. Therefore, we propose accurate calculations of the quasinormal modes for scalar, electromagnetic, and neutrino fields in the Bardeen spacetime. Additionally, we have computed the grey-body factors and analyzed the emission rates of Hawking radiation. Even when the quantum correction is small and the fundamental mode only slightly differs from its Schwarzschild value, the first several overtones deviate at an increasingly stronger rate. This deviation leads to the appearance of overtones with very small real oscillation frequencies. This outburst of overtones is closely linked to the fact that the quantum-corrected black hole differs from its classical limit primarily near the event horizon. Moreover, the intensity of the Hawking radiation is significantly suppressed (up to three orders of magnitude) by the quantum correction.

  1. Non-oscillatory gravitational quasinormal modes of Reissner-Nordstr\"om-de Sitter spacetime

    gr-qc 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Purely imaginary gravitational quasinormal modes of Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes are computed and shown to obey a universal small-hole formula and to generate late-time exponential tails.

  2. Transition from Regular Black Holes to Wormholes in Covariant Effective Quantum Gravity: Scattering, Quasinormal Modes, and Hawking Radiation

    gr-qc 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

For a quantum-corrected spacetime, the fundamental quasinormal mode differs little from Schwarzschild, higher overtones deviate significantly, and wormhole states have extremely long-lived modes.

  3. Hawking Emission from Black Holes Evaporating toward Wormholes and the Accuracy of the WKB Approximation

    gr-qc 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.5 of 10

Numerical greybody factors for photons and massless Dirac fields in Simpson-Visser and Casadio-Fabbri-Mazzacurati geometries reveal that WKB overestimates luminosities by orders of magnitude near wormhole endpoints, i...

  4. Long-lived quasinormal frequencies for regular black hole supported by the Einasto profile in the presence of the magnetic field

    gr-qc 2026-03 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

For Einasto-supported regular black holes, larger effective scalar mass and certain halo parameters suppress the quasinormal damping rate, producing long-lived modes and shifting grey-body factors toward higher frequencies.

  5. Long-lived quasinormal modes and grey-body factors of supermassive black holes with a dark matter halo

    gr-qc 2025-11 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Massive scalar fields around a Schwarzschild black hole with a dark matter halo ring longer as field mass grows, while realistic halo parameters leave quasinormal frequencies and grey-body factors almost unchanged.

  6. Charged black holes in Kalb-Ramond gravity: Weak Deflection Angle, Shadow cast, Quasinormal Modes and Neutrino annihilation

    gr-qc 2025-05 reject novelty 4.0 of 10

The Kalb-Ramond black hole phenomenology is mostly an extension of known results, and its shadow formula is internally inconsistent, invalidating the EHT-based constraints.
