Exclusive semileptonic decays of D and D_s mesons in the covariant confining quark model
read the original abstract
Recently, the BESIII collaboration has reported numerous measurements of various $D_{(s)}$ meson semileptonic decays with significantly improved precision. Together with similar studies carried out at BABAR, Belle, and CLEO, new windows to a better understanding of weak and strong interactions in the charm sector have been opened. In light of new experimental data, we review the theoretical description and predictions for the semileptonic decays of $D_{(s)}$ to a pseudoscalar or a vector meson. This review is essentially an extended discussion of our recently published results obtained in the framework of the covariant confining quark model.

Non-perturbaitve effects for the isoscalar light vector $\omega$-meson in charmed meson semileptonic decays
With a new harmonic-oscillator model for the omega's transverse light-cone distribution amplitude, QCD light-cone sum rules reproduce the measured D+→ωℓν branching fractions and predict angular observables.

Vector mesons leading-twist longitudinal distribution amplitudes and related semi-leptonic decays within QCD sum rules
New QCD sum-rule calculation gives ξ-moments up to tenth order and PLP-model distribution amplitudes for ρ, K*, φ, which are then used to recalculate D_(s)→V semileptonic observables.

Systematic analysis of $D_{(s)}$ meson semi-leptonic decays in the covariant light-front quark model
CLFQM calculations of D(s) to P/S/V/A form factors and branching ratios agree with data for most P and V channels but show notable discrepancies for several S and A channels.

Review of experimental studies of charmed meson decays at BESIII
A review of BESIII charmed meson decay studies presents the most precise averages for |V_cs|, |V_cd|, D and D_s decay constants, and several hadronic form factors from combined experimental results.
