We consider the effects on cosmology of higher-derivative modifications of (effective) gravity that make it asymptotically free without introducing ghosts. The weakening of gravity at short distances allows pressure to prevent the singularity, producing a solution with contraction preceding expansion.

Regular Black Holes in Nonlocal Quasitopological Gravity
Infinite-derivative completions of quasitopological gravities are ghost-free, avoid strong coupling, and admit exact spherically symmetric vacuum regular black holes obeying a perturbative Birkhoff theorem.

Covariant phase space and $L_\infty$ algebras
A covariant phase space symplectic form is constructed for any L∞ Lagrangian field theory using a 'sigmoid' operator, and is verified in scalar, Yang-Mills, general relativity, and p-adic string examples.

Is there ghost and tachyon free bounce in UV complete gravity theory?
Ghost- and tachyon-free bounces in AID gravity require a negative cosmological constant; known positive-Λ solutions inevitably contain ghost radiation.

The Graviton Propagator in Asymptotically Safe Gravity with Non-Local Form Factors
At quadratic order in asymptotically safe gravity, the graviton propagator has a single pole at q²=0 with positive residue, no ghost poles, and yields a regular Newtonian potential at r=0.

Ghost-free modification of the Polyakov action and Hawking radiation
For a ghost-free modification of the Polyakov action on a fixed 2D black hole background, the Hawking flux at infinity is unchanged; only diagonal stress-energy components and entropy get non-local corrections.

Non-singular string cosmology via $\alpha^{\prime}$ corrections
The paper builds non-singular bouncing FLRW solutions in the O(d,d) invariant string cosmology action, but the higher-order coefficients are free inputs and the action consistency is unverified.

Induced CFJ Term in nonlocal Lorentz-Violating QED: Natural Regularization from Entire Dirac Operators
In nonlocal Lorentz-violating QED with entire form factors of the Dirac operator, the induced CFJ coefficient is finite and equals the local value times a deformation function of m/Λ.

On the Meaning of Localization in Non-Local Quantum Field Theory and On the Limits of a Space-Time Description and the Physical Meaning of Phase Space in a Nonlocal Continuum
The paper derives a nonlocal phase-space uncertainty relation implying a minimal measurable length of order L_M and a finite phase-space cell in nonlocal QFT.

Energy conditions of bouncing solutions in quadratic curvature gravity coupled with a scalar field
Bouncing solutions in quadratic curvature gravity with a scalar field satisfy null, weak, and dominant energy conditions but violate the strong one when using the scalar-field energy-momentum tensor, while all four co...

Multinomial probit model based on joint quantile regression
The abstract proposes a Bayesian joint quantile regression version of the multinomial probit model for choice data, estimable by Gibbs sampling, but the attached full text is a different paper on higher-derivative gravity.

Non-singular bounce solutions in Myrzakulov $f(R,T)$ gravity
In Myrzakulov F(R,T) gravity, free connection functions can be chosen to produce matter-bounce backgrounds with a scale-invariant scalar power spectrum.
