An SL(2, Z) family of string solutions of type IIB supergravity in ten dimensions is constructed. The solutions are labeled by a pair of relatively prime integers, which characterize charges of the three-form field strengths. The string tensions depend on these charges in an SL(2, Z) covariant way. Compactifying on a circle and identifying with eleven-dimensional supergravity compactified on a torus implies that the modulus of the IIB theory should be equated to the modular parameter of the torus.

  1. The AdS/$\mathsf{C}$-$\mathsf{P}$-${\mathsf T}$ Correspondence

    hep-th 2025-07 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

N=4 super Yang-Mills has P and T symmetries that mix with CP and CT under S-duality, and these map to specific worldsheet and geometric symmetries of Type IIB string theory.

  2. Non-relativistic limits of $\mathcal N=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and S-duality

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Constructs a family of non-relativistic limits of 4d MSYM via brane setups that organize into a 3D moduli space with nontrivial topology where PSL(2,Z) dualities act more complexly than in the relativistic theory, est...

  3. Tame Complexity of Effective Field Theories in the Quantum Gravity Landscape

    hep-th 2026-01 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Effective field theories consistent with quantum gravity are conjectured to have uniformly bounded 'tame complexity', a quantitative measure of the information needed to specify them.

  4. Production of Primordial Black Holes in the Double D3-Brane - anti-D3-Brane Inflation Model

    hep-th 2026-08 reject novelty 6.0 of 10

In a double D3-anti-D3 brane inflation model, Myers dielectric effect may turn D1-strings into neutral 3-branes seeding primordial black holes, but the mass distribution is not derived.

  5. Scalar Hair at the String-Black-Hole Correspondence

    hep-th 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

All static spherical axion-dilaton solutions are SL(2,R) images of the FJNW seed, and scalar hair increases the alpha-prime curvature diagnostic at the string-black-hole correspondence surface, selecting the hairless ...

  6. Black p-brane Thermodynamics without Constructing Solutions

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Thermodynamic quantities for black p-branes in arbitrary dimensions can be derived without constructing solutions by generalizing a previous method, including cases with general scalar cosets.

  7. Bordisms between 9d type IIB supergravities and commutator widths of duality groups

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Proposes a refinement of the Swampland Cobordism Conjecture for Ω1(BG) with duality bundle G, where diverging commutator width of G requires infinitely many duality defects to realize monodromies via gravitational solitons.

  8. Wilson loop in AdS$_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ from quantum M2 brane

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

The 1-loop M2-brane partition function for the Wilson loop in AdS3 x S3 x T4 equals kappa over sqrt(2 pi) with no higher-genus string corrections.

  9. A Matrix Theory Construction of the IIA/IIB Wall

    hep-th 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A lightlike IIA/IIB domain wall is constructed at zero string coupling by gauging (−1)^{F_L} in matrix string theory, turning BPS IIA D0-branes into non-BPS IIB D0-branes.

  10. On the Underlying Nonrelativistic Nature of Relativistic Holography

    hep-th 2025-02 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Standard AdS/CFT duality is reinterpreted as D-brane/black-brane duality in nonrelativistic D3-brane theory, with AdS5×S5 as a relativistic bubble in flat 3-Newton-Cartan geometry.
