The Technical Design Report (TDR) of the ILC mainly concentrates on a baseline machine of 500 GeV centre-of-mass with detailed cost and manpower estimates consistent with this option. However, the discovery of a Higgs Boson with a mass of 125 GeV opens up the possibility of reducing cost by starting at a centre-of-mass energy of 250 GeV with the possibility of future upgrades to 500 GeV or even 1 TeV should the physics case for such an upgrade be compelling. The rest of this paper outlines the options for the design of a 250 GeV "Higgs factory".

  1. Phenomenology of Leptophilic Gauge Interactions at Future $e^+e^-$ Colliders

    hep-ph 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Interference-driven forward-backward asymmetry at FCC-ee, CEPC, ILC, and CLIC can probe leptophilic Z_ℓ beyond LEP contact bounds, with circular and linear machines covering complementary (M,g) regions.

  2. Searching for the Leptophilic Gauge Boson Z$_{l}$ at Future $e^{+}e^{-}$ Colliders

    hep-ph 2025-08 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A parton-level projection shows FCC-ee and CEPC can discover a leptophilic Z' down to g_l about 10^-4, while ILC and CLIC extend the search to TeV-scale masses.

  3. Search for Dark Matter in 2HDMS at LHC and future Lepton Colliders

    hep-ph 2025-04 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

Benchmarks in the 2HDMS model with light to heavy dark matter masses are identified under all constraints and shown to have better discovery prospects at future lepton colliders than at the HL-LHC via cut-and-count analyses.
