Non-stabilizerness - also colloquially referred to as magic - is the a resource for advantage in quantum computing and lies in the access to non-Clifford operations. Developing a comprehensive understanding of how non-stabilizerness can be quantified and how it relates other quantum resources is crucial for studying and characterizing the origin of quantum complexity. In this work, we establish a direct connection between non-stabilizerness and entanglement spectrum flatness for a pure quantum state. We show that this connection can be exploited to efficiently probe non-stabilizerness even in presence of noise. Our results reveal a direct connection between non-stabilizerness and entanglement response, and define a clear experimental protocol to probe non-stabilizerness in cold atom and solid-state platforms.

  1. Universality of Magic in Local Quantum Field Theory

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

In any local QFT, vacuum-like states have non-flat entanglement spectra because local algebras are type III₁, so no stabilizer state can flow to them in the continuum: QFT states necessarily carry magic.

  2. Magic-protected entanglement and Clifford-irreducible structure in magic state space

    quant-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Quantum states are classified by how much bipartite entanglement survives optimal simplification by classically easy Clifford operations, yielding a split into weakly protected T-magic and strongly protected W-magic regimes.

  3. Nonlocal Nonstabilizerness from Holographic Schwinger Pair Production

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

In holographic Schwinger pair production, the excess capacity of entanglement is √λ(d−2)/(d−1)³ — positive for d>2, zero for d=2 — so the produced pair carries nonlocal magic for d>2.

  4. Spin versus Magic: Lessons from Gluon and Graviton Scattering

    hep-th 2025-08 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

For 2 to 2 scattering of massless spin-1/2 to spin-2 particles, the averaged generated magic decreases monotonically with spin, with maxima well below the two-qubit upper bound.

  5. Probing new physics in the top sector using quantum information

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In top-pair production at the LHC, the quantum-information measures magic, concurrence, trace distance, and fidelity distance each respond most strongly to new physics in different kinematic regions, so no single meas...
