We present an exact expression for the quasinormal modes of scalar, electromagnetic and gravitational perturbations of a near extremal Scwarzschild-de Sitter black hole and we show why a previous approximation holds exactly in this near extremal regime. In particular, our results give the asymptotic behavior of the quasinormal frequencies for highly damped modes, which as recently attracted much attention due to the proposed identification of its real part with the Barbero-Immirzi parameter.

Quasinormal modes of Proca and Maxwell fields in $d$-dimensional Schwarzschild-AdS black holes
Scalar-type Maxwell perturbations in large d≥5 Schwarzschild-AdS black holes exhibit purely imaginary low-frequency quasinormal modes, confirmed numerically and by asymptotic matching.

Quasinormal modes of Bonanno-Reuter black holes via the Spectral Method
Spectral Method yields the complete QNM spectrum (fundamentals, overtones, overdamped modes) of the Bonanno-Reuter black hole, missed by prior WKB analyses.

Exceptional Lines and Excitation of (Nearly) Double-Pole Quasinormal Modes: A Semi-Analytic Study in the Nariai Black Hole
In the near-Nariai limit of rotating de Sitter black holes, massive scalar perturbations have a continuous curve of exceptional points where prograde and retrograde quasinormal modes merge, and the resulting double-po...

Non-oscillatory gravitational quasinormal modes of Reissner-Nordstr\"om-de Sitter spacetime
Purely imaginary gravitational quasinormal modes of Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter black holes are computed and shown to obey a universal small-hole formula and to generate late-time exponential tails.

One loop corrections to the thermodynamics of near-extremal Kerr-(A)dS black holes from Heun equation
Cold near-extremal Kerr-de Sitter black holes carry universal log(T) entropy corrections while rotating Nariai geometries do not, as derived from Teukolsky/Heun connection coefficients.

Quasinormal bulk-edge characters of gravitons in Nariai geometry
Graviton quasinormal modes reproduce only the bulk part of the one-loop determinant on S^2 x S^2; the residual edge character is isolated but its lower-spin interpretation is not derived.

Massive scalar field perturbations of 4D de Sitter Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black holes
Massive scalar perturbations of 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet de Sitter black holes are stable and show three quasinormal mode branches, including a non-perturbative de Sitter branch that disappears in the Schwarzschild-de...
