Cross sections for elastic photoproduction of J/Psi and Upsilon mesons are presented. For J/Psi mesons the dependence on the photon-proton centre-of-mass energy W_gammap is analysed in an extended range with respect to previous measurements of 26<=W_gammap<= 285 GeV. The measured energy dependence is parameterized as sigma_gammap proportional W_gammap^delta with delta=0.83+-0.07. The differential cross section dsigma/dt for J/Psi mesons is derived, its dependence on W_gammap and on t is analysed and the effective trajectory (in terms of Regge theory) is determined to be alpha(t)=(1.27+-0.05)+(0.08+-0.17)*t/GeV^2. Models based on perturbative QCD and on pomeron exchange are compared to the data.

  1. Spin resummation of heavy quarkonium photoproduction: from the gluonic gravitational form factors to the holographic pomeron

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Spin-resummed holographic QCD unifies near-threshold GFF and high-energy pomeron regimes for heavy quarkonium photoproduction and shows fixed-spin GFF extraction is not controlled.

  2. Gluon Saturation Effects in Exclusive Heavy Vector Meson Photoproduction

    hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Exclusive J/psi photoproduction off Pb targets prefers BK evolution with gluon saturation over linear BFKL evolution, and Upsilon production is predicted to distinguish them only at higher energies.

  3. Signs for the onset of gluon saturation in exclusive photo-production of vector mesons

    hep-ph 2019-08 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Exclusive J/psi photoproduction at the LHC favors a gluon distribution with nonlinear saturation corrections over linear BFKL-based predictions, suggesting onset of gluon saturation.

  4. Parton Distribution Functions and their Generalizations

    hep-ph 2025-07 unverdicted novelty 1.0 of 10

A textbook-style introduction to the definitions, QCD properties, experimental access, and current phenomenological status of PDFs and their generalizations.
