abstract

We present a combined analysis of fully-contained, partially-contained and upward-going muon atmospheric neutrino data from a 1489 day exposure of the Super--Kamiokande detector. The data samples span roughly five decades in neutrino energy, from 100 MeV to 10 TeV. A detailed Monte Carlo comparison is described and presented. The data is fit to the Monte Carlo expectation, and is found to be consistent with neutrino oscillations of $\nu_\mu \leftrightarrow \nu_\tau$ with $\sin^22\theta > 0.92$ and $1.5\times 10^{-3} < \Delta m^2 < 3.4\times 10^{-3}{\rm eV}^2$ at 90% confidence level.

  1. Towards Measuring the CP-Violating Phase with Atmospheric Neutrinos

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Proposes a new up-down flux ratio for sub-GeV atmospheric neutrinos to measure δ_CP, potentially exceeding T2HK sensitivity near 90° and 270° at Hyper-Kamiokande.

  2. Search for heavy Majorana neutrinos in vector boson scattering with $\tau$-lepton final states with the ATLAS detector

    hep-ex 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

ATLAS finds no evidence for heavy Majorana neutrinos in same-sign tau-lepton final states and sets new 95% CL upper limits on |V_τN|², reaching 0.30 at m_N = 900 GeV and extending to m_N = 6.5 TeV.

  3. Nearly Degenerate Majorana Dark Matter and Its Self-Interactions in a Gauged $U(1)_{L_\mu - L_\tau}$ Model

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

A gauged U(1)_{Lμ-Lτ} model generates nearly degenerate Majorana dark matter whose self-interactions via a light scalar mediator set the relic density, resolve core-cusp anomalies, and fit LZ direct detection plus muo...
