This review is devoted to the study of the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking and this first part focuses on the Higgs particle of the Standard Model. The fundamental properties of the Higgs boson are reviewed and its decay modes and production mechanisms at hadron colliders and at future lepton colliders are described in detail.

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Stochastically misaligned dark Higgs decay into dark photons can make all the dark matter for m_A′ ≈ 100 eV–1 GeV and g ≈ 10^-15–10^-10, shrinking to 10 keV–1 MeV with one-loop kinetic mixing.

SHiP and FPF@FCC-hh are projected to extend experimental sensitivity to a light scalar mixing with the Higgs and to long-lived heavy neutrinos in a B-L seesaw model, with SHiP strongest for scalar masses around 0.5-1 GeV.

  3. Parameter Inference from Final-State Entanglement in Higgs Decays

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

With a spin/color-weighted entanglement entropy built from Higgs branching ratios, the Standard Model Higgs and W masses sit near the global maximum, and the preferred coupling ratio is SM-like.

  4. Probing the Phenomenology of Dark Matter from Decoupled Freeze-Out

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In a scalar-plus-pseudoscalar mediator model, decoupled freeze-out can produce the observed dark matter relic density via s-wave annihilation while evading CMB limits, though indirect-detection and BBN bounds leave on...

  5. Anomalous Couplings from the Electroweak Chiral Lagrangian for Off-Shell Higgs in $gg\to Z_L Z_L$

    hep-ph 2025-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

In the electroweak chiral Lagrangian, off-shell Higgs contributions to gg to Z_L Z_L at leading order reduce to two independent combinations of the anomalous couplings c_t, c_V, and c_ggh.

  6. On the contribution from the light quarks to $H\to\gamma\gamma , \gamma Z$

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The light-quark contribution to H to gamma gamma and H to gamma Z is nonzero and linear in quark masses, with a large enhancement in the two-photon channel.

  7. Constraining Inflation via FIMP dark matter using the $\beta$-function with collider implications

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Combining Higgs inflation with feeble U(1)D vector dark matter via RG running narrows the allowed Higgs mixing angle and BSM Higgs mass, and predicts measurable deviations in Higgs self-couplings.

  8. Freezing-in Cannibals with Low-reheating Temperature

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Non-instantaneous (low-temperature) reheating combined with 3-to-2 cannibal self-interactions reshapes the freeze-in dark matter parameter space and opens new light-DM regions for future colliders.

  9. Quark-universal $U(1)$ breaking scalar at the LHC

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In a quark-universal U(1)_B model, the scalar φ that breaks the symmetry can be discovered first through its diphoton decay, and its rate can explain the 95 GeV diphoton excess.

  10. Reheating the FCC: Probing Early Matter Domination with Long-Lived Particles

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

One-loop corrections in the complex Higgs triplet model shift the 125 GeV Higgs decay rates to WW* and ZZ* upward by a few percent relative to the SM, while allowing up to -20% deviation in gamma gamma and 100% in the...

  13. Model-independent probes of CP violation in the heavy scalar sector at muon colliders

    hep-ph 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Observing vector boson fusion production of a heavy scalar followed by decay to Z h1 at muon colliders can establish CP violation in the scalar sector because it requires both h2VV and h2h1Z couplings to be nonzero.

  14. Low-reheating scenario in dark Higgs inflation and its impact on dark photon dark matter production

    hep-ph 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10
