abstract

We show that the off-diagonal (or skewed) parton distributions are completely determined at small $x$ and $\xi$ by the (conventional) diagonal partons. We present predictions which can be used to estimate the off-diagonal distributions at small $x$ and $\xi$ at any scale.

  1. Unpolarized GPDs at small $x$ and non-zero skewness

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Unpolarized GPDs and GTMDs at small x with non-zero skewness are expressed via the dipole amplitude N and odderon O with modified rapidity Y = ln min{1/|x|, 1/|ξ|}.

  2. Parton distributions in the shockwave formalism

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A single shockwave Feynman-rule framework reproduces and extends prior small-x parton distributions, yielding new quark GTMD/GPD/PDF and diffractive-TMD results.

  3. Precise Determination of the Proton's Gluon Cloud Geometry from HERA data

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A global fit to all 104 HERA exclusive J/ψ data points resolves the proton's small-x gluon hotspots into a 0.105 fm Gaussian core plus a 0.22 fm exponential halo.

  4. How to include exclusive $J/\psi$ production data in global PDF analyses

    hep-ph 2019-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Exclusive J/psi photoproduction at HERA is consistent with global PDFs at NLO when the optimal scale and a Q0 subtraction are used, enabling low-x gluon extraction.

  5. Evaluating the ratio of the exclusive vector meson photoproduction to inclusive hadron/jet production cross section in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions

  6. Coherent photoproduction of light vector mesons off nuclear targets in the dipole picture

    hep-ph 2023-10 unverdicted novelty 3.0 of 10

A suppression factor R_G=0.85 is tuned to F2 and rho photoproduction data and used to predict observables for rho(2S), omega, and phi states via holographic wave functions in the dipole picture.

  7. Ultra-peripheral Collisions

    hep-ex 2026-07 conditional novelty 1.0 of 10

Ultra-peripheral collisions of heavy ions are reviewed as the energy frontier for photon physics; the paper consolidates a decade of LHC/RHIC results and proposes no new measurement.
