abstract

In this article two-loop QED corrections to the muon decay and corrections of order $\alpha_s^2$ to the semileptonic decay of the bottom quark are considered. We compute the imaginary part of the four-loop diagrams contributing to the corresponding fermion propagator in the limit of small external momentum. The on-shell condition is obtained with the help of a conformal mapping and Pad\'e approximation. Via this method we confirm the existing results by an independent calculation.

  1. Complete one-loop QED corrections to $D_s^+$ leptonic decays and impact on the CKM unitarity test

    hep-ph 2025-11 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Complete one-loop QED and electroweak corrections to D_s^+ leptonic decays give |V_cs| = 0.991 ± 0.007 from latest data, aligning second-column CKM unitarity with the Standard Model.

  2. Three-loop corrections to the Fermi decay constant in the $\overline{\rm{MS}}$ scheme

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The leading three-loop corrections to the Fermi decay constant in the pure MS scheme are computed, shifting the Standard Model Higgs VEV down by about 3.5 MeV and cutting residual scale dependence to below 2e-6.

  3. Semileptonic weak Hamiltonian to $\mathcal{O}(\alpha \alpha_s(\mu_{\mathrm{Lattice}}))$ in momentum-space subtraction schemes

    hep-ph 2022-09 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Calculates O(α α_s) scheme-conversion coefficients for semileptonic weak operators in MOM/SMOM schemes using projectors that eliminate pure-QCD artifacts and yield reduced scale dependence.

  4. Isospin-breaking effects in inclusive hadronic $\tau$ data for the muon $(g-2)$ from first principles

    hep-lat 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

A lattice QCD+QED strategy is outlined for calculating isospin-breaking effects in inclusive tau decays to support high-precision HVP contributions to muon g-2.

  5. QCD corrections to charged-current decays with Heavy Sterile Neutrinos in initial or final state and their impact on $\tau$ decays

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    New O(α_s^4) formulas for N→τ+hadrons and τ→N+hadrons give |sinθ| ≤ 0.2 at m_N ≈ 600 MeV and a marginal (9.1^{+3.7}_{−7.8})×10⁻² mixing hint from τ→πν and τ→Kν data.

  6. Muon lifetime and Fermi constant: an update

    hep-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 4.5 of 10

    Updated Δq = (−4 384 678 ± 34)×10^{-9} reduces theory error on the muon lifetime by an order of magnitude and gives G_F = 1.166 378 59(59)×10^{-5} GeV^{-2}.
