We examine the current constraints and future sensitivity of Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering (CE$\nu$NS) experiments to mixing scenarios involving a $Z^\prime$ which interacts via portals with the Standard Model. We contrast the results against those from fixed target, atomic parity violation, and solar neutrino experiments. We demonstrate a significant dependence of the experimental reach on the $Z'$ coupling non-universality and the complementarity of CE$\nu$NS to existing searches.

  1. The X17 Existence Hinted at by Nuclear Reactor Neutrinos

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Reactor neutrino CEvNS data corroborates the X17 particle by constraining its neutrino and nuclear couplings to a unique region when combined with other neutrino measurements.

  2. Testing lepton non-unitarity with the next generation of Germanium-based CE$\nu$NS reactor experiments

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0

A future 100-kg Germanium reactor CEνNS experiment could constrain lepton non-unitarity to 1−α11² ≈ 0.005 and, under low-scale seesaw assumptions, probe new-physics scales up to ~2.5 TeV.

  3. The X17 Existence Hinted at by Nuclear Reactor Neutrinos

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Reactor neutrino data from CONUS+ and Dresden-II combined with COHERENT and IceCube data singles out a region of neutrino and nuclear couplings consistent with the X17 particle.

  4. Prospects for Exploring Non-Standard Neutrino Properties with Argon-Based CEvNS Experiments

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 4.0

Argon CEvNS detectors at stopped-pion sources project sin²θW precision near 1%, neutrino magnetic-moment limits near 10⁻⁹ μB, charge-radius limits near 10⁻³² cm², and vector NSI sensitivity at the 10⁻² level.

  5. Prospects of five-dimensional $L_\mu-L_\tau$ gauge interactions in the light of elastic neutrino-electron scatterings: The scope of the DUNE near detector

    hep-ph 2024-07 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Five-dimensional U(1)_{Lμ-Lτ} model predicts multiple gauge bosons whose contributions to elastic neutrino-electron scattering can be probed at DUNE, covering much of the muon (g-2) consistent parameter space.
