We study meson resonances with quantum numbers J^P=1^+ in terms of the chiral SU(3) Lagrangian. At leading order a parameter-free prediction is obtained for the scattering of Goldstone bosons off vector mesons with J^P=1^- once we insist on approximate crossing symmetry of the unitarized scattering amplitude. A resonance spectrum arises that is remarkably close to the empirical pattern. In particular, we find that the strangeness-zero resonances h_1(1380), f_(1285) and b_1(1235) are formed due to strong K \bar K_\mu and \bar K K_\mu channels. This leads to large coupling constants of those resonances to the latter states.

  1. Three-body unitary determination of the $f_1(1285)$ and $f_1(1420)$ pole positions

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Fitting a spectator-isobar three-body unitary amplitude to BESIII K0S K0S pi0 data yields poles at (1277±2±1)-i(12±1±0) MeV for f1(1285) and (1435±2±7)-i(40±2±1) MeV for f1(1420), with the latter traced to a K Kbar* q...

  2. Coupled-channel approach to isotensor $\pi\pi\pi$ scattering from lattice QCD

    hep-lat 2026-01 conditional novelty 6.0

The I=2 three-pion spectrum from lattice QCD is described by a repulsive rho-pi S-wave interaction, consistent with a leading-order effective Lagrangian.

  3. Interaction and correlation functions for $\pi f_1(1285)$, $\eta f_1(1285)$

    hep-ph 2026-05 conditional novelty 5.0

Using the fixed-center approximation, the π⁰(η) f₁(1285) interaction yields scattering parameters and correlation functions but no clear poles for the π₁(1400), π₁(1600), or η₁(1855) resonances, only a broad structure...

  4. Correlation function and bound state from the $K D_{s0}^*(2317)$ interaction

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

The K D_s0*(2317) system develops a narrow resonance 40 MeV below threshold under the fixed-center molecular assumption, producing a characteristic correlation function for strong attraction.

  5. Scattering data and correlation function for the $K f_1(1285)$ interaction

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 5.0

    Assuming f1(1285) is a K* anti-K molecule, the K f1 system is predicted to have a near-threshold bound/resonant state with a distinctive correlation function.
