We propose a relativistic gravitational theory leading to modified Newtonian dynamics, a paradigm that explains the observed universal galactic acceleration scale and related phenomenology. We discuss phenomenological requirements leading to its construction and demonstrate its agreement with the observed cosmic microwave background and matter power spectra on linear cosmological scales. We show that its action expanded to second order is free of ghost instabilities and discuss its possible embedding in a more fundamental theory.

  1. Vortex-reconnection energy bounds in Bose-Einstein-condensed and superfluid dark matter halos

    astro-ph.GA 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Vortex reconnections in BEC/superfluid dark matter halos produce dark-sector heating at a rate that is secular but sub-virial for relaxed non-interacting soliton cores, with the dominant uncertainty being the true vor...

  2. Baryonic mass budgets in the central regions of the Bullet Cluster and their consistency with strong lensing in MOND

    astro-ph.GA 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

MOND strong-lensing masses in the Bullet Cluster’s three BCG cores lie between lower and upper IGIMF baryonic mass estimates from JWST photometry.

  3. Bridging the gap between dark matter and MOND by a relativistc scalar field approach

    gr-qc 2025-10 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A single relativistic scalar field with a Bekenstein-type kinetic term and a mass-generating term reproduces deep-MOND acceleration in the weak-field limit and predicts stronger-than-MOND light bending.

  4. Exploring Non-minimal coupling using ultra-diffuse galaxies

    astro-ph.CO 2026-02 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A Bayesian Jeans analysis of three ultra-diffuse galaxies finds no preference for a non-minimal dark-matter-gravity coupling and yields weak upper limits on its length scale.

  5. Dwarf galaxies in non-local gravity

    astro-ph.CO 2025-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Non-local gravity can fit the velocity dispersions of eight dwarf spheroidals without dark matter, but its scale parameter is poorly constrained and two galaxies show tension with earlier rotation-curve results.

  6. Improved constraints on modified Newtonian gravity from Cassini radio tracking data

    gr-qc 2026-02 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

An updated Cassini/DE440 fit gives a 40% tighter Solar System quadrupole constraint, producing 3–15 sigma tensions with galaxy rotation curves and a <=2% Milky Way MOND boost.
