The location of dark-matter free, tidal dwarf galaxies (TDGs) in the baryonic Tully Fisher (bTF) diagram has been used to test cosmological scenarios, leading to various and controversial results. Using new high-resolution 3D spectroscopic data, we re-investigate the morpho-kinematics of these galaxies to verify whether or not they can be used for such a purpose. We find that the three observed TDGs are kinematically not virialized and show complex morphologies and kinematics, leading to considerable uncertainties about their intrinsic rotation velocities and their locations on the bTF. Only one TDG can be identify as a (perturbed) rotation disk that it is indeed a sub-component of NGC5291N and that lies at $<$1$\sigma$ from the local bTF relation. It results that the presently studied TDGs are young, dynamically forming objects, which are not enough virialized to robustly challenge cosmological scenarios.

  1. The tidal features of the classical Milky Way satellites: Expected in MOND but inconsistent with cold dark matter models

    astro-ph.GA 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

Classical MW satellites have high MOND tidal susceptibility at pericentre that matches their observed tidal features and elevated dispersions, while CDM predicts they should be largely resilient.

  2. Constraints on the gravitational potential from DESI DR2 BAO and its implications for the local void scenario

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 conditional novelty 6.0

A fixed gravitational-redshift contribution from a local void fits high-redshift data almost as well as ΛCDM, but the data currently favour z0=0.

  3. Constraints on the gravitational potential from DESI DR2 BAO and its implications for the local void scenario

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

High-redshift datasets constrain the local void gravitational redshift parameter z0 to be consistent with zero but allow the value needed for Hubble tension solution.

  4. The age of the Universe from a large sample of the oldest Galactic stars

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Stellar age analysis of a large Galactic sample gives a cosmic age of 13.73 Gyr, consistent with LambdaCDM but inconsistent with some Hubble tension resolutions implying 12.9 Gyr.
