We start a systematic analysis of supersymmetric field theories in six dimensions. We find necessary conditions for the existence of non-trivial interacting fixed points. String theory provides us with examples of such theories. We conjecture that there are many other examples.

  1. 5d Higgs Branches: Stratifications from Geometry

    hep-th 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Dynamical complex structure deformations of non-compact Calabi-Yau threefolds with non-isolated singularities reproduce the full Higgs branch stratification of 5d SCFTs, matching magnetic quiver predictions.

  2. 5d Trinions and Tetraons

    hep-th 2026-05 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

The authors construct 5d SCFT trinions and tetraons with D flavor symmetry via M-theory, producing non-linear quivers with instanton symmetry enhancement and ruling out E-type cases.

  3. Remarks on the Higgs Branch of 5d Conformal Matter

    hep-th 2025-02 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The Higgs branches of 5d conformal matter atoms and molecules are computed via magnetic quivers and class-S circle reductions, with matching dimensions across the two methods.

  4. Anomaly Matching in 6d $\mathcal{N}=(2,0)$ SCFTs from M5 Cobordism

    hep-th 2025-01 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

M5 bordism classifies the invertible phases of 6d (2,0) anomaly theories, and the Hopf-Wess-Zumino term is the phase that transgresses to the second Pontryagin class.

  5. SymTFTs and Non-Invertible Symmetries of 6d (2,0) SCFTs of Type $D$ from M-theory

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The 7d SymTFT for 6d (2,0) D_N SCFTs is derived from M-theory on AdS7 × RP4, including the outer-automorphism Z2 sector, and is used to derive non-invertible symmetries and anomaly polynomials.

  6. Complexity and Operator Growth in Holographic 6d SCFTs

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

In holographic 6d N=(1,0) SCFTs, generalized proper momentum of infalling particles grows linearly at late times, with early dynamics modified by SU(2)_R charge and quiver spreading.

  7. Six-dimensional gauge theories and (twisted) generalized cohomology

    hep-th 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Combining an abelianized Yang-Mills field with its dual in 6D N=(1,0) supergravity yields a class in twisted K-theory, with the B-field as twist.

  8. On classification of rank two theories with eight supercharges Part III: Seiberg-Witten geometry

    hep-th 2025-08 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

The abstract claims rank-two Seiberg-Witten geometries can be systematized via one-parameter curve families y^2 = f(x,t), with f fixed by singular fibers at t = infinity.

  9. A Crash Course in Supersymmetric Field Theory Across Dimensions

    hep-th 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 2.0 of 10

Pedagogical crash-course notes on supersymmetric field theory across 2–10 dimensions, organized around recurring structures such as holomorphy, dualities, indices, BPS data, and anomalies.
