abstract

We point out the existence of a consistency relation involving the 3-point function of scalar perturbations which is valid in any inflationary model, independently of the inflaton Lagrangian under the assumption that the inflaton is the only dynamical field. The 3-point function in the limit in which one of the momenta is much smaller than the other two is fixed in terms of the power spectrum and its tilt. This relation, although very hard to verify experimentally, could be easily proved wrong by forecoming data, thus ruling out any scenario with a single dynamical field in a model independent way.

Locality in effective field theory for inflationary soft modes

gr-qc · 2026-05-19 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

The authors define a locality condition for hard-mode states during inflation that unifies local effective dynamics for soft modes, suppression of loop corrections, generalized soft theorems, and absence of infrared divergences in observable correlators.

Orbital Inflation: inflating along an angular isometry of field space

hep-th · 2019-07-03 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

Orbital Inflation reconstructs two-field actions with an angular isometry yielding single-field-like predictions that violate consistency relations and allow f_NL from slow-roll suppressed to O(few) depending on entropy mass and self-interactions.

Massive Exchange and the Sign of the Equilateral Bispectrum

hep-th · 2026-04-07 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

The equilateral bispectrum from massive scalar exchange in inflation is not universally negative in the full EFT of inflation; its sign depends on a critical ratio of operator coefficients.

A Compact Story of Positivity in de Sitter

hep-th · 2025-08-11 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Compares two methods to resolve disagreements and prove positivity of anomalous dimensions for principal series fields coupled to compact scalar operators in de Sitter space.

Constraints on primordial non-Gaussianity from Quaia

astro-ph.CO · 2025-04-29 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Reports f_NL = -20.5^{+19.0}_{-18.1} (68% CL) from combined Quaia quasar auto-correlation and CMB lensing cross-correlation assuming p_phi=1, or -28.7^{+26.1}_{-24.6} for p_phi=1.6.

Classical and quantum evolution of inflationary fluctuations

hep-th · 2026-04-20 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Classical and quantum correlation functions of inflationary perturbations diverge exponentially with e-folds when interactions are relevant, even if forced to agree at an intermediate time.

Cosmological collider signals of modular spontaneous CP breaking

hep-ph · 2026-04-07 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

Modular spontaneous CP breaking during inflation with the modulus as inflaton produces one-loop cosmological collider signals from SM fermions enhanced by chemical potentials, allowing probes of sub-Planckian modulus decay constants.

3d QFT IR divergences as UV divergences in 4d Holographic Cosmology

hep-th · 2026-05-15 · unverdicted · novelty 4.0

In a 3d toy model for holographic cosmology, a mass term preserving generalized conformal structure permits 2-loop computations that indicate possible IR finiteness beyond perturbation theory, corresponding to UV finiteness without singularities in the 4d dual.
