The All-sky Medium Energy Gamma-ray Observatory (AMEGO) is a probe class mission concept that will provide essential contributions to multimessenger astrophysics in the late 2020s and beyond. AMEGO combines high sensitivity in the 200 keV to 10 GeV energy range with a wide field of view, good spectral resolution, and polarization sensitivity. Therefore, AMEGO is key in the study of multimessenger astrophysical objects that have unique signatures in the gamma-ray regime, such as neutron star mergers, supernovae, and flaring active galactic nuclei. The order-of-magnitude improvement compared to previous MeV missions also enables discoveries of a wide range of phenomena whose energy output peaks in the relatively unexplored medium-energy gamma-ray band.

    astro-ph.HE 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

A two-zone leptonic model inside a magnetically reconnecting jet reproduces the narrow TeV spike and simultaneous X-ray rise observed in Mrk 501 during its 2014 high state.

  2. The Impact of the New $^{59}$Fe Decay Rates on $^{60}$Fe and $^{26}$Al Nucleosynthesis in Massive Stars

    astro-ph.HE 2026-05 conditional novelty 5.0

    New 59Fe beta-decay rates in non-rotating MESA models suppress 60Fe yields by 0.28 dex, yielding a Salpeter-IMF-integrated 60Fe/26Al flux ratio of 0.18 that matches the observed 0.184 ± 0.042.

  3. Identifying observable MeV lines from the decays of weak and main $r$-process isotopes in mergers

    astro-ph.HE 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

The paper develops a search algorithm to find observable MeV gamma-ray peaks from r-process isotope decays in mergers and shows Rh-106 can distinguish main versus weak r-process while Tl-208 remains robust across mode...

  4. INTEGRAL, eROSITA and Voyager Constraints on Light Bosonic Dark Matter: ALPs, Dark Photons, Scalars, $B-L$ and $L_{i}-L_{j}$ Vectors

    hep-ph 2025-07 unverdicted novelty 5.0

This work sets new upper limits on decay lifetimes and couplings for axion-like particles, dark photons, scalars, and B-L or L_i-L_j vector bosons using 511 keV line, X-ray continuum, and cosmic-ray flux observations.

  5. Limits on primordial black holes from the extragalactic gamma-ray background; current status and future projections

    astro-ph.HE 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Sets upper limits on primordial black hole dark matter fraction using extragalactic gamma-ray background, claiming these are the tightest indirect constraints for the mass range.

  6. Chasing the neutrino blazar candidates II: SED modeling with hadronic model

    astro-ph.HE 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Hadronic SED modeling of 103 blazar candidates predicts proton synchrotron peaks in the MeV band for 99 sources and maximum neutrino fluxes detectable by up to 62 sources with next-generation telescopes.

  7. Unveiling axion signals in galactic supernovae with future MeV telescopes

    astro-ph.HE 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Future MeV telescopes could constrain axion-photon couplings to 1.61 × 10^{-13} GeV^{-1} for ALP masses below 10^{-9} eV using signals from galactic supernovae.

  8. Science with the Einstein Telescope: a comparison of different designs

    gr-qc 2023-03 unverdicted novelty 3.0

The paper evaluates how triangular versus two-L-shaped geometries, arm lengths, and presence of low-frequency instruments affect the science reach of the Einstein Telescope for compact binaries, multi-messenger events...
