Static electric dipole moments of nondegenerate systems probe mass scales for physics beyond the Standard Model well beyond those reached directly at high energy colliders. Discrimination between different physics models, however, requires complementary searches in atomic-molecular-and-optical, nuclear and particle physics. In this report, we discuss the current status and prospects in the near future for a compelling suite of such experiments, along with developments needed in the encompassing theoretical framework.

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0

A new parameter κ is defined to capture charge-dependent equivalence principle violations, with existing experiments constraining |κ| < 2.1 × 10^{-4} kg/C at 95% CL, eleven orders weaker than composition bounds.

  2. Multireference Covariant Density Functional Theory with Stochastic Basis

    nucl-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0

MR-SCDFT augments standard multireference DFT by using stochastic fields to create reference configurations and a projection-selection step, yielding lower ground-state energies, smaller proton radii, and softer bands...

  3. Nucleon Energy Correlators as a Probe of Light-Quark Dipole Operators at the Electron-Ion Collider

Nucleon energy correlators access linear effects from light-quark dipole operators via azimuthal asymmetries in the target fragmentation region at the EIC.

  4. New Energy-Loss Constraints on Dark Sectors from Deeply Inelastic Scattering with Initial State Radiation

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0

A factorization-based method is outlined to derive energy-loss constraints on dark sector particles (spin 0 to 2) from ISR-modified lepton distributions in DIS, illustrated for MeV-GeV spin-0 cases at the EIC.

  5. Nucleon Electric Dipole Moments in Paramagnetic Molecules through Effective Field Theory

    hep-ph 2025-10 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Introduces an EFT framework relating paramagnetic molecular EDMs to nucleon EDMs, computes the required nuclear matrix elements for BaF via shell model, and derives limits on nucleon EDMs from existing data.

  6. Statistical uncertainty quantification for multireference covariant density functional theory

    nucl-th 2024-08 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Bayesian sampling of ~1M EDF parameter sets combined with subspace-projected CDFT shows that statistical uncertainties bring deformed nuclei 150Nd and 150Sm into agreement with data while near-spherical 136Xe and 136B...

  7. Does the Electron EDM Preclude Electroweak Baryogenesis ?
