An Alternative to Compactification
read the original abstract
Conventional wisdom states that Newton's force law implies only four non-compact dimensions. We demonstrate that this is not necessarily true in the presence of a non-factorizable background geometry. The specific example we study is a single 3-brane embedded in five dimensions. We show that even without a gap in the Kaluza-Klein spectrum, four-dimensional Newtonian and general relativistic gravity is reproduced to more than adequate precision.

A Tale of Two Hartle-Hawking Wave Functions: Fully Gravitational vs Partially Frozen
In AdS the fully gravitational Hartle-Hawking wave function acquires a nontrivial one-loop phase while the partially frozen version stays real and positive; a partially frozen de Sitter sphere shows phase cancellation.

Microscopic primordial black holes as macroscopic dark matter from large extra dimensions
In the ADD extra-dimension model, microscopic primordial black holes undergo runaway accretion and grow to macroscopic scales, allowing them to comprise all dark matter with initial abundances as low as 10^{-44}.

Cosmic Inflation From Regular Black Holes
Regular black holes in the bulk of quasi-topological gravity drive a de Sitter inflationary phase on the brane at small scales, with e-fold number set by the ratio of black hole radius to higher-curvature scale.

In the Karch-Randall braneworld the zero-graviton-mass limit of the one-loop partition function is a massless graviton plus a decoupled massive vector, not the pure Randall-Sundrum II model.

Scattering off Chamblin-Reall Branes
Holographic analysis of scattering off Chamblin-Reall branes shows that for d>1 incident radiation redistributes into reflected, transmitted, and evanescent components, with d=2 yielding diffuse scattering like a tran...

Holographic complexity of conformal fields in global de Sitter spacetime
Holographic complexity of CFTs in global dS_d is computed via volume and action prescriptions in AdS foliation and brane setups, then compared to results from static and Poincare patches.

Quasinormal modes of the thick braneworld in $f(T)$ gravity
In a thick braneworld model with f(T) = T + α T², the parameter α induces brane splitting and alters the decay rates of quasinormal modes, with two numerical methods agreeing on the low-overtone spectrum.
